Save the Children

Reviewing process and quality

Accuteque were engaged to evaluate and document the existing and target state payroll processes and development of high-level business requirements in preparation for an RFP process to replace their payroll system with an Australian solution as part of a larger international HCM project.

About Save the Children

Save the Children , as a not-for-profit, is the world’s leading independent organisation for children. Their work tackles all the issues that affect children, including access to health and education, saving lives in a disaster, stopping climate change, and protecting children from harm.

What was required

The initial requirement was to review the data migration process and UAT strategy and test support for a new CRM for donor management.  Subsequent to this review we were involved in developing the requirements for the replacement of a Payroll system.

What we did

We interviewed key stakeholders in the organization, conducted research on the data migration and provided an assessment of the viability of the data for migration.  We also identified a number of recommendations to reduce the risks.

For the UAT Assessment, we reviewed the approach against Accuteque’s Test Maturity model; a matrix of 15 activity areas across 5 levels of maturity to provide a thorough and robust assessment of risks, and areas for improvement.

Based on the veracity of this report, and because of our professionalism, Accuteque was subsequently engaged in 2019 to commence a review of their payroll system.  This involved evaluating and documenting the existing payroll process, working with stakeholders to identify the target state, and developing the high level business requirements to enable an RFP for the replacement of their payroll system.  This resulted in the successful implementation of the ichris cloud based payroll system..
