Situational Analysis
Looking through our lens
A Situational Analysis is an engagement where we analyse your current situation and work with you to build a roadmap for the future.
Typically, this is because a company or business unit has a problem that needs fresh eyes to solve, or where the organisation doesn’t have the capability or bandwidth internally to solve the problem themselves.
A Situational Analysis is typically a fixed engagement of 3-6 weeks during which time we will understand your current environment and where you are now, identify pain points, and provide recommendations for how you can resolve these along with next steps.
Some examples of when this may be useful includes:
- When you are undergoing a transformation and want to design a new operating model and or define new ways of working.
- When you want a systems audit to ensure that you are maximizing your return on your investments.
- When you have a project that is in trouble and need someone to assess how to right way the project, getting it back on track.
- When you are looking to optimize your business processes and you need an independent assessment to understand what changes can be made.
- When you are looking to implement a new software solution and need independent and product agnostic advice.
- When you want to define your test strategy or ensure that your test plans are comprehensive enough.
- When you want to uplift your testing and quality assurance capability and want to know where you stand in terms of testing maturity.
What we do
We use proven research and analysis tools to understand your problem area. Our team apply Human Centered Design (HCD) Double Diamond divergent and convergent approaches to do a deep dive into where you are now so that we don’t make false assumptions. We also use the OODA method to help make informed decisions and act upon them, allowing an iterative assessment approach.
Using the LUMA framework, we identify the most appropriate tools to enable us to gather the information needed to better understand the problem and identify options.
While each assessment is unique to your business, we apply the toolkit in different ways to help us uncover the information needed.
We focus on your people as we believe that engagement and effective communications with those who will be impacted by the change need to be involved throughout the early stages of the project in order gain acceptance and adoption at a later stage.
Our approach is to work with you and your key resources to create a common understanding of ‘WHY’, and we consider a whole of organisation focus rather than just individual programs and teams. We will collaborate with your leadership team to ensure that the message is consistent and on point with the overall strategy and ways of working.
Using this process, we have success in gathering information from staff, by creating a safe and respectful environment to have open communications about what’s working well and what’s not. Further, we can facilitate in empowering and inspiring team members to trust in the change and help them enact the change they want to see.
How we can help you
Accuteque has helped many organisations with the evaluation of current systems, processes and tools to solve opportunities and challenges, both internal and external to the organisation, service or product.
We strongly believe that the answer to any problem comes from inside the business, supported by experts that are able to take the information learnt and can inform a picture for all to understand.
We bring to our engagement a range of theories, tools and practices that we draw upon to help you and your teams work towards operational excellence. Many of them we have applied to our own organisation or have used successfully in previous engagements. We are always open to learning and are also not afraid of trying something new if we think that it will lead to a quality outcome or will improve the flow of value or will help your organisation to grow.
Through interviews and workshops we investigate the problems being faced and document these so all stakeholders understand and are aligned.
We will share our knowledge openly and to help build capability within your team. We will identify areas where your team can assist and be involved in the engagement to keep our costs to you as low as possible.
We commit to working with you in a respectful, open, and transparent partnership with a goal of making a difference and leaving you in a better position than when we started.

Why us
Our People:
First and foremost, we are a community of highly skilled, highly motivated practitioner leaders who work collectively to solve your problem and make a difference, leaving you in a better place. Our people are team members, relationship focused and trailblazers, who strive to exceed expectations. The person you talk to at the beginning of the assignment is generally the person who will engage with you throughout the Situational Analysis. We don’t wow you with experience and then ask graduates to do the work.
We employ only experienced and skilled consultants, who bring a breadth as well as a depth of knowledge and skills and who collectively undertake the delivery of all phases of an engagement, including methodology design, planning, delivery and post implementation review. Skills include facilitation, business analysis, agile and technical skills in quality assurance and testing as well as experience in leadership and organisational development and evaluation.

We are curious consultants who embrace new ways of working for ourselves and for our clients and we use tools and techniques that are best suited to achieve our clients’ goals. For us innovation comes in sharing different perspectives and knowledge; challenging our existing paradigms and push boundaries to find better solutions for clients.
Product and Tool Agnostic
We are not aligned or affiliated with any product, system or tool. We do not have solutions waiting for your problem. We don’t assume we know the best product that will “solve” your problem.
This doesn’t mean that we are not familiar with tools and products. On the contrary, the tool or product is just not our focal point, understanding your situation and your problem space is where we want to deep dive. Having a fixed “solution” in mind often means that your mindset becomes fixed or dogmatic. We want to explore the problem space with an open mind before we converge on options.
We do have exhaustive experience in products and tools. We leverage this knowledge and experience to identify the right solution for your problem.
